Midheaven in Sagittarius

The Midheaven marks the top of your chart. It points to the direction you aim for in public life and the reputation you build over time. In Sagittarius, ruled by expansive Jupiter, that aim is less about a title and more about a quest. You want your work to mean something, to stretch your horizons and to connect with a larger picture, whether that is a belief, a body of knowledge or a vision of a better way. A career that feels like a cage rarely holds you for long. One that feels like a journey can hold you for a lifetime.

This is not a pull toward any job that simply pays the bills; it is a pull toward fields that widen understanding. Think teaching, publishing, coaching, travel, cross-cultural work, academia, law, outdoor pursuits or any venture with a clear mission. Colleagues may see you as the encourager who reminds the team why the project matters, or as the one who plainly says what others are only thinking. You tend to grow through mentors, and through mentoring others in turn. Your generosity and enthusiasm build your reputation, and people often trust your sense that things can work out, even before the details are clear.

The growth edge lies in the space between vision and follow-through. Jupiter's optimism can lead you to say yes to too much, to promise more than the timeline allows, or to drift once a role becomes routine. Your candour is a real gift, but it can land as bluntness or preaching if you assume your truth fits everyone. You may also have a habit of leaving just as roots begin to form, mistaking restlessness for a calling. Freedom in your career deepens when it includes commitment. Some of the widest horizons are reached only by staying on one road long enough.

Here is a useful reflection. Write down the question your working life is really trying to answer. It might be 'how do people learn?', 'what makes a fair world?' or 'what lies beyond the familiar?'. Then look at your current role and ask how much room it gives that question. If it gives very little, try small experiments, such as a course, a side project or a conversation with someone whose path inspires you. Also notice where Jupiter sits in your chart. Its sign and house show where your sense of purpose draws its most natural fuel.
