Your birth date, birthplace and, ideally, your birth time. The time matters because the Ascendant and houses move about one degree every four minutes.

Yes. Tick "I don't know my birth time" and we calculate the chart for noon. Planet signs and most aspects will be right, but the Ascendant and houses can't be calculated and the Moon's degree is approximate. A birth certificate or hospital record often lists the time.

Positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris and agree with independent astronomical calculations to within a few arc-seconds. We also apply the historical time zone and daylight saving rules of your birthplace, which is where many charts go wrong.

Sun sign dates in magazines are averages. If you were born near the change of sign (a "cusp"), the exact year, time and place decide which sign the Sun was in, and a calculated chart settles it.

Placidus, the most widely used system today. Very close to the poles Placidus can't be calculated, so we switch to Porphyry and tell you on the chart.

Yes, as long as they are happy for you to enter their birth details. Each chart you calculate while signed in is saved to My charts.

Delete charts in My charts; their conversations and reports are deleted with them. To delete your account, open My charts and choose Delete account under Account. It takes effect immediately.

It reads your calculated chart and, when you ask about timing, checks the real transits for those dates. Answers are generated by AI (Anthropic's Claude), so they can be wrong — treat them as a thoughtful conversation, not a prophecy.

To keep the service fair, there is a daily message limit and each conversation has a maximum length. You can always start a new conversation.

No. The planetary positions are astronomy; the meanings are a symbolic tradition. We offer astrology as a language for reflection and entertainment, not as a predictive science or professional advice.
